Vladimir Putin Gives a Blancpain Watch to a Steel Worker
Everybody knows that Russia’s Prime-Minister, Vladimir Putin, is an avid collector of luxury items and especially Swiss watches. His collection exceeds those of millionaires and he is never shy of showing and wearing them, even during a sports match.
Well, it looks like Putin is also a very generous person. During a visit at one of Russia’s weapon factories, one of the metal workers, Viktor Zagaevsky, asked Putin to give him his watch. To everyone’s surprise, her swiftly took it off and gave it to the worker.

What’s so surprising? Well, the watch we’re talking about is a Blancpain Aqua Lung Big Date, a watch that is worth about 6000 euros.
Now that’s what I call generosity. I’m sure Viktor Zagaevsky will have a great story to tell friends. The watch is steel cased, is resistant up to a depth of 100 meters and it has a soft leather strap.
